i'm so honored for this feature! a spot on read with depth and understanding of nuance. i feared i had disrespected chronology and committed many anarchanisms in the draft, but intuition guided me favorably ....Dedalus would have been, if assumed contemporary to Joyce, dying sometime between 1941 (author's death at age 58) to potentially 1981ish if the character lived to a ripe 98... turns out the lyrics to The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel were written by Paul Simon in 1964. the Mary nursery rhyme is very old, circa 1830. however, the Daily Mirror is a long standing tabloid from the 1900's. This Little Light of Mine was written as poem first in 1925 and then sung/recorded in 1934. if i messed up anywhere else i do apologize for not catching it... at one point i almost put a cell phone reference in but weeded it out god bless. i was quite pleased with the write but did not expect the enthusiastic reception. many thanks everyone! 7v7
