Evacuated
Hi! I miss everyone so much at Prose. I have been evacuated for the Florida hurricane and can't go back until there is electricity and water and phone and internet service. It is way to hot to stay in the house without a/c and my husband is ill so can't bring him back until it is cool. Our house is okay, thank goodness, although we had to remove a large branch from the roof and had a lot of debris and water in the yard because our canal overflowed. We pumped out the water from the lawn but can't go back yet. It is still hard here to get internet service but I can't wait to get back to all of you wonderful Prosers. Whenever I can, I will be back. Hope none of you had problems from the hurricane.

Can any of you tell me if you are subscribing to Prose Gold and if it is necessary to do so. When I posted this write, it said you don't have to pay but can just subscribe. How do I do that? It seems confusing. And my messages are now going through well. Are there still growing pains? Would appreciate any help you can give me on Prose Gold!

I am not doing gold at this time. I am not sure if I ever will. Depending on how it shifts things, I may resurrect my blog or start posting to Medium more instead. I understand why gold is happening, but I always enjoyed the casualness of Prose.

Not leaving yet, but this change does change certain users. Partners only exist as Gold members now for example. A lot of pieces I spotlighted got picked. Now I can't do it anymore because I don't want to pay $6/mo. To do so.

@desmondwrite Thanks for your nice comments. I think all hurricanes are bad! We have had to evacuate twice in the last 10 months! I hope you had no damage where you are. Now, here comes Maria - hope it doesn't hit anywhere in U.S. but sorry for the islands.
