The Metaphor Challenge
Give me your twist on one of the following expressions: 1) "flirting with time"; 2) "beating a dead horse"; 3) "just us chickens"; 4) "tip of the iceberg"; 5) "once in a blue moon". Dead Horse

I sat there,

watching as he fell to his doom.

Sitting as always,

although I knew it.

I saw it,

before it happened.

And I let it.

I let his fate get sealed.

I beat the dead horse.

it's always there

it isn't fair.
