Poem: My first memory

I was a baby in my mother's arms,

Leaving the hospital where I was born.

My eyes were blinded by the

Natural light from the windows.

My ears couldn't cope with the noise,

So it all blurred into the background,

But I felt this

Glowing warmth, this

Intense feeling of security, this

Unadulterated happiness...

Then my eyes closed from the

Exhaustion of being overwhelmed by

The new world,

And everything went black.

P.S.: I don't know what the etiquette is for entering your own challenge but it's just for anyone feeling the writer's block and wanting to write something :)
