I search the universe

for a cure,

for the worst diseases

we must endure.

Taking dreams

of the rich

and poor,

penetrating

to the very core.

Advancements

are being made,

but more than anything

they need aid.

They were once

of strength

and titans’ power,

now they need you

in their darkest hour.

  

The rockets have left

Man has moved on

though here I am

stuck in this rocker

on our veranda

abandoned nigh

while still a ceiling

for heart-broken fans . . .

The rockets have gone

it's an empty town

shelled, shockered, blast

with this space litter

that's been scattered

our sky canopy

is smaller now
