The Switch.

As a young wizard in training, my first assignment is to travel back in time and take someone´s place. Then they will take mine. Simply put we’re switching our lives.

From my recent historical studies & research, I have decided to go back to the time of ´The Crocodile hunter´. It would be fun to see how we fare in taking over the other person’s life.

With my trusty wand, I travel to Australia. There I find Steve wrestling with a crocodile. A flick of my wand -Swish- and he goes to my time. I switch our minds. I take over his body, and he takes over mine.

Back at wizard academy, Steve tries his best to fit right in. The way he knows how. He first tried wrestling the Komodo dragon in the animal & creatures protection class. While he was busy trying to be himself, I on the other hand failed to even pin down a goat. I reached for my wand and had enough for less than one day. I knew that I was not going to last more than 24 hours.

In a matter of several seconds, I snapped my fingers and Steve was back with my body in Australia. I used my wand to place our minds in the right bodies. Steve and I we’re back in our own bodies.

Talk about getting to be in someone else’s shoes. Was I glad that was over & I was back home, and in my own body. If I ever have to switch with someone else, I will make sure I will be at least able to handle what they do. Or pick a person who’s life isn’t full of so much adventure. Steve is an awesome guy.

(In memory of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. May his soul rest in eternal peace.)
