The World on His Shoulders
In a perfect world
Men like me would not exist
But this is not a perfect world
And I am not a perfect man
I am shy and sensitive
I have a hard time meeting people
Especially women
I never know what to say
And when I do
It never comes out
The way that I want
I get odd looks and
Little laughs
That have more to do with
Discomfort than humor
And I shove my hands
In my pockets
And look away
Blushing every time
I cry after sex
But when they ask why
I have no words to share
And that turns them off
They want a manly man
With big broad shoulders that can
Take on their problems
And the weight of the world
Without flinching
They don't see that, maybe,
It works the other way too
And I become more lonely
More withdrawn
In this imperfect world
I am not a perfect man
Whatever that means

Are hard to break

Perfect Poison
In a perfect world
Men like me
Wouldn’t exist
The people around me
Would not allow it
They’d throw me down
Before I could stand up
I’m too poisonous
To exist in a perfect world
People would die if they saw
But in this non perfect world
People like me are common
That’s why everyone’s dying
Because we’re poisonous.
