Confetti Stars

Confetti stars polka dot my sky

facets of my fury torn in pieces

seen through center of my tornado.

Wounded but still twinkling

Trapping me in a world

below the blanketing of stars.

Fighting battles in midnight skies

disintegrating into sodden pool,

drowning in blackened vault.

Thoughts entwined in timeless sphere

oblivion grasping with skeletal fingers.

I grip my light, clenching it to soul

forbidding kernel of truth from crashing

to earth, clutching with bare hands

preserving glow for Heaven assignation.

The Fault In Our Stars

Yes there is a fault in our stars,

And the proof lies in our scars

They brought us together is their fault,

The waiting, the raging got life to a jolt.

We grew dealing with wounds in our hearts,

Realising love in our moments apart,

Our dreams forayed from being together,

I did not hear and you understood me neither,

Our desperate attempts to find love in someone else,

While our names echoed in each other's pulse,

And then came a time, we looked at the face of death,

We decided to hold on with every breath,

We knew now, love was more profound,

It was beyond the "I love you" sound,

The scars on hearts are proof that we more than exist,

And when death does do us apart, our love persists!

With blood and bone

And infection rampant

Destroy me from all directions

You could use the book

Spine and seam and cover

And bludgeon me with it

And it still wouldn't hurt as much

As four eyes

Five legs

And two sets of lungs.

Fiery Ball of Gas

Once upon a time

The night sky was beautiful

Sparkling, Twinkling, Glittering

Stars

Reality sucked her life

Added years to her breath

Engraved its bitterness

Inside

Everything erupted into a fiery ball of gas

It hurt

It burnt

But still

The stars were beautiful

Bittersweet.

The Fault In Our Stars

You thought it was a silly love story

But that isn't so true

It taught me many life lessons

That I think you should know too

Just when you think everything's perfect

It all goes down the drain

When the cancer is consuming you

And you can't do a thing

And even though the one he loves

Is lighting up as well

Water filling up her lungs

But she thinks life is swell

Because she has her boyfriend

See, everything's alright!

Until the cancer consumes him

And he is out like a light

What is the point of living

When your loved one's gone and died

It's because you're someone's loved one

And if you left they would cry

Misguided cartography

Looking at the stars

We play life's cartographers

Hastily naming

Which ones we're meant to follow

And which to pass in wonder

The Fault In Our Stars

You can't choose who you hurt in this world

But I've let this world hurt me.

I let Hazel Grace and Gus

See the faults in me.

I watched them grow and laughed with them

Then watched and cried with one.

I raged against the author's whims,

Against the methodical turning of the page

That took me closer to his ending.

I wished that the story continued on,

That Hazel had more to tell,

That Gus' letter was longer,

That these things didn't happen in real life.

But this is not a pipe.

Twas a night in mid August when lost souls rekindle

Time for amends be honest.

Be gentle

Don't wait for second chances, life is more than a swindle.

Flew down from the sky sometime during twilight.

A love like this last more than one night.

Please dear one hold on to what you know is true. Cherish the ones you love and family too.

The problem with living is that there is more to this life.

So Stop all your worries, headaches, and strife

Fault in our stars, I say no way, not true.

All the flickering lights that you see every night

Only small groups will make it, God selects a chosen few.

Should we all be so lucky to make it upstairs.

Remember There are no faults in in Stars.

Live to inspire and share. Everyone has gifts.

It's not my world, it's ours.

A bit repetitive...

There's only so many times someone can say the word 'OKAY'.

The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault in Our Stars,

They're nothing but scars

and the cuts on our hearts

as we pull apart.

The fault in our life,

when we deal with strife

we want nothing but to feel safe

and to come out unscathed.

The fault in our love...

except there isn't a fault.

We've faced the good,

and we've faced the bad

but in the end

our love survived.

Our love survived

the trials of time,

and even in death

our love survives.
