My heart in hand

Apollo and Dionysus

Stand on opposite ends

Of a spectrum they invented

In their minds

Apollo looks on as

Dionysus rises from

The hot sands of oblivion

Skin burning

Heart beating

He reaches out slowly

Trying to

Touch the sky

Touch freedom

Touch ecstasy

Apollo

Dressed in Sophistication

Adorned in Wisdom

Witnesses this birth of

A new life

So close and yet so far

On another Hemisphere
