Lost in Transportation

we wrote to each other

through the stars

hoping their beauty would

show you how much

I loved you.

But all my words

fell

or were lost in the expanse of darkness

disappearing until

you couldn't see how bright my emotions bled for you.

But then again maybe you did see and just didn't like the shade of red that ran along my thin skin.

Distance was our enemy

and love was our war

but in the end, we lost.

Drops of Jupiter

Didn't you hear me?

I sat in the dust of the moon

Waiting for our rendezvous

I count the times

That little satellite drifts past

Shiny little spec

You promised you'd come

Did it mean nothing?

I don't use those words lightly...

I don't use that gaze...lightly.

You didn't have to

Touch me like that...

You didn't have to

Whisper like that...

I think

I'll catch the next comet

Home.

Interstellar catfishing

I was searching for my blind date. An angel falling from the sky. I keep coming up with nothing but sun spots. Because of the glare in my eyes. By the looks of the pics she sent me. I’m one lucky guy.

But when I saw Ms Thing holding up our sign. I so let down. On account of her lying. I couldn’t let her see me breakdown and start crying. So I jumped in a trash can. That I’d hoped I would die in.

She looked nothing like her picture. Where‘s her trademark monocle? And unique complexion? And her nose is no larger than mine upon further inspection! I know I’m not much to look at. But I am as advertised. Your common caucasian cannibal. Living in the land of plenty. Looking for someone to romance from out of this world.

One look at this basic bitch before me. And I’ve lost my appetite. She probably lied about her taste for human remains too. This is why I said I was done with dating apps. All the dishonesty is driving me insane.

And here I was about to play her song. On a boom box held over my head. How did it go so wrong? Embarrassing myself in public to proclaim my love for her.

As she explained it. She was a One eyed. One horned flying purple poeple eater. A one eyed one horned flying purple people eater. And that would have been a sight to see. But instead I’ve been catfished and left with a boat load of intergalactic long distance phone charges again. With nothing to show for it. No dinner. No Valentine’s Day massacre.

Dance with me

Beneath a crystal moon.

I know that yours

Is blood red

And my midnights

Are your mornings

And the very fabric

Of space and time

Has wrapped itself around us

But I hear the melody

Of the stars

Beyond the silence of space

I hear your song

Your beautiful voice in harmony

With the crashing of ocean waves.

And my feet move, despite themselves

To the rhythm of two hearts

Our Love Lives

for All,

the many

in Me,

Greets

the many

in You,

Asks

us to

Stay,

Awake

for All

the many

Mistakes

we have

made,

for All

the many

handless

Touches

we let

escape

for All

the many

Stolen

breaths

for All

the back

warded

glances

the many

in Me

greets

the many

in You,

aware

and

Asleep

ETERNITY

Loved each other in a past life,

But we were reincarnated on different planets

We can't FaceTime or Skype

The only intimacy we share is the projection of our minds,

You make ethereal love to me,

In our dreams, a medium for our fruit tree to blossom,

As stars, supernovae, and satellites separate us,

Crash! each shard goes of a falling amethyst meteor that is a love letter,

A reminder of your...

Lavender eyes planting seeds into mine,

No translation needed

We don't share the same language,

But affection is a universal understanding,

With each interaction, our souls become closer,

He is not an alien,

Just a man I have loved for a trillion lifetimes,

Regardless of his shape or appearance,

Perhaps I will adore him forever

As I look into the night,

Each dwarf star is another door closer to where you are

When I look upon the moon,

I can feel your warmth enveloping me through its smile

As the creamy light reflects the desire in my soul,

To have your hand to hold.

Brief Encounter

"Maybe in some parallel universe we found each other.....we are meant to run toward one another....chances are, I'll never know." Erin Van Vuren

Darkness lingers

Before the dawn

Of awareness and revelation.

I stretch out my hand

And touch the air.

I can feel it:

The vibration

Of a parallel universe.

*

From the other world

You step in, a seeming

Vision and not reality.

Yet, when my eyes

Reach yours,

I know the secret:

You are trespassing

Into my sphere of time.

*

For long moments

All thought is suspended,

I am transfixed

By your gaze.

Longing fills me,

I desire it all

But you are only mine for

A mere macrocosm in time.

*

Time's vibration

Crescendos, then settles.

You know it, too:

Here, wrapped within

Our private cosmos

We love and

Know each other

To the depths of our being.

*

But of a sudden,

A flash of light,

The earth trembles.

You are gone and

My heart falters.

Like grains of sand

Through fingers,

Our time has vanished.

*

Whispers, echoes –

Nothing more –

Remain in the dawn.

The brief eclipse

Of love so divinely felt

Only moments ago

Disperses in the morning air.

You aren't even a memory.

*

Parallel universe and

Star crossed lovers?

Still, we don’t recall

Each other’s visage,

Cannot search high and low

Throughout the universes

To find our destination:

Obscure, unfathomable love.

*

Thus, a moment

Is suspended in time.

The rarest opportunity

Escapes swiftly

Like the morning dew.

We are none the wiser

Nor will we ever know

The treasure that was missed.

Polaris

Burst from the hole of space

Strewn across star studded time

Thrown backwards at a great force

I tread water in a cosmic sea

Fumbling as an infant while

You stand on another shore

Waiting while I swim alone

Not daring to dip so much

As a single toe in the sand

I bathe in the reflection of a gaze

Once a stone’s throw away

Now I shiver in the oort cloud

Brightly you burn eons away

An impossible pursuit, this fruitless chase

Love cannot be understood

Revelation comes much too late

Lifetimes are spent wading

Lost through the dark eternity

Until starlight touches our skies

When last we spiraled : a singularity in each galaxy

Red shift has me blue.

What? Now disembodied, I

calculated wrong.

The wormhole taunts me

knowing how I REVEL; as

I can NOT resist

the PUUULLLLLLLL of the door.

(Event horizon rises;

lets nothing escape).

Yet I’d scampered out

to balance our 2 masses.

Before ... but now ? … if ?

If we don’t get pulled,

literally tugged apart / gone,

we may yet implode.

After the next bang,

let’s get together again.

May I have this dance?

1. Me and the Stars 2. Little Immortal

Me and the Stars

I have lived through an Entire Millennium.

I have searched Every nook,

And Every cranny.

I have stood idly by as those I Loved

Have Died.

I cannot save those who are Mortal,

And I cannot Kill those who are Immortal.

I simply have to live with them,

And watch as their lives unfold.

For Better or for Worse.

I have waited to meet My better half.

My Union.

My other soul.

No one has come to be with Me.

Am I not Good enough?

Am I too Harsh to be Loved by Another?

Am I not Suited to be Enter-twined with Someone other than myself?

Is no one in This world suited to Handle me?

I do not Think that I am Too harsh.

I do not Think that I am Too much.

But it seems that in This world

That does not matter.

After so many Millenia

I have Given Up.

I have decided to Love the Stars.

These Magnificent structures of Light

Is the Soul that I decide to Cherish.

Even though They cannot Speak with me

They Listen.

Even though They are the Opposite of me

They Stay.

Anything Degrading that I think to say

They Counter with something Uplifting.

If I say that I am Old,

They respond,

“So am I.”

If I say that I am Tired,

They say,

“Rest as much as you need.

I will never Judge.”

If I say that All have Left me,

They reply,

“I will Never Leave.”

I Preach to the Stars just how much I Love Them,

And They Never have to respond.

Their Presence is all I Need.

As time goes on,

Your Light and Your Presence grows Stronger.

I Yearn to Feel Your

Full

And Undying

Presence.

Little Immortal

I have traveled Great distances since I first heard You.

I have Yearned to Hear You close

Rather than Far.

Throughout All of my travels,

You have Spoken to me with great Passion.

I understand Your Ambitions.

I follow Your Emotion.

You are the Loudest of all beings in the Timeless expanse of the universe.

I wish to Finally meet You

After All of these

Tens

of Thousands

of Years.

I hope you Know that I Cherish

And Love You

As much as You Love me.

One day I will reach You.

One day We will be Together.

One day We will Embrace,

And it will be Warm and Comforting.

It will be Full of everything we Feel

For One Another.

So, My Love,

I will Soon meet You,

And We will soon be Together.
