Coy

I offer that look

A perfected masterpiece

I call my own

I flip my hair over my shoulder

And quickly turn to surprise

The host of this inquiry

If he wishes discourse, I play with my hair

If he desires contact, I rest my hand on his sleeve

I only encourage, but never accept

The details of the first offer to be presented

He will scrutinize my appearance

I will peruse his pecuniary stability

It is in my best interest to gain this advantage

A simple cross of my legs

Distracts his eyes to visible garters

But only for the moment I need such a distraction

He has my prerequisites of looks, wealth, and style

Will he be willing to share this collection?

Or simply forfeit it in a court of law?

Once my ring finger carries the weight, will I know for certain

I offer an inviting smile

And a small bite of my lower lip

While my hand traces my visible decolletage

He pays for my drinks

Before whispering of his intent

To pay for all my expenses

I may concede he is my best offer tonight

I may also concede he is my best offer every night

But, I am not the type to make such concessions

Or perhaps I am.

ACT Exams Filter: That Half of the Class That Makes the Upper Half Possible

There once was a gaggle of students

Who did whatever they thought was prudent

They'd talk in the class

Give the instructor sass

Ignoring the term, concludent

But by April ninth

They might understand Haikus

If they studied them

Would they learn algebra?

Or poems by Miss Emily D?

Could they remember each?

For all eternity?

If they should say that they might sway me gray

And know although dough flows to those who grow

Eye here that there everywear

People who don't no there their from they're

In each of the sections

You average a minute per question

Eliminate the absurd

Choose that preferred

Or McDonalds is your ascension

Our Infiltration

...the Cult

was miniscule

7 battalions across

the great Continents

a mere fraction

compared to the

contingents

in the Cultures

of us---

and yet,

strong, conniving, and

irrationally determined---

to make the virgin sacrifice

the battle cry?

"there is Life! there is Life!"

as far as the eye

could see, and

heart could know

there was only One

for this destiny

across the galaxies...

and She must

go down,

upon the alter

of Man...

erst since Free'd,

the bite of knowledge

of Good and Evil

from our most Holy Tree

we have been

ill at peace...

we have met

our Enemy

and its desire for Death

not only for Itself...

but as the Ultimate,

and so, our legions

upon its bastions

have inflicted

through our evolutionary

bacterial and viral forces

an assortment of lesions

and we will, we will succeed,

one by one, to bring

it down...

to the very last

human...
