Ungrateful

You'll never know all the things I've done for you. And I will never know everything you've given up for me. I guess that makes us both... ungrateful

Perfection

When you seem to have everything a smile is expected every day

No tears, for there is nothing to cry over

Your life is easy they say...

No one knows the expectations one holds for such a person...

PERFECTION.

No mistakes

No failures

My, would they be disappointed if only they knew...

the number of tears spilled

Or

the effort it takes to smile when truly I'm dying inside

But I can't let them see my fear for failure

Because I am to be perfect.

For them

BE LOUD

Torn down by voices louder than theirs

Divergent minds never get heard

Love

The love in your eyes was only for me

I always questioned...

Could it really be??

Strength is being able to carry yourself with pride even after you have failed.

Strength is smiling when people expect you to crumble.

Why do I lie?

Why do I tell everyone I'm fine?

Why can't I tell them the thoughts that are haunting me?

I can't drag them into the darkness with me.
