You shouldn't carry burdens meant for seas.
Your strength shouldn't carry burdens that deep.
Tiny hands shouldn't hold such heavy things.
It’s cruel in your twos spending more time in hospitals and not zoos.
Tiny hands were meant for toys. Not for needles sharp that pierce and burn.
I see those fragile bones on the hospital bed. Your eyes closed resting after a seizure it’s bittersweet. But even here, my love you are so strong. The strongest in the room.
