An eternal ringing

Digging into my brain

Chewing at my cells

Like ever-chiming bells

A high-pitched ring

With no rhyme or reason

Without a pattern, filled with treason

A ringing in my ear

Some say it's someone thinking about me

Others that someone is talking bad about me

All I know is that it's deafening

And I can feel it vibrating in my head

I shut my eyes and it gets louder

I open them and it's a wonder

How I get through days like these

When the ringing just can't take a hint
