Paralysis

“Don’t move”

I fight against the hands holding me down

Fingers like manacles around my wrists

“Don’t move”

Breath like a warm breeze on my face

Canines glowing white in the dark

“Don’t move”

Eyes flickering like candlelight

Boring into mine intently

“Don’t move”

I can’t

Hovering above me like a bug

Whispering like wind

“Don’t move”

Can’t breathe

My lungs are being crushed

Under an embodiment of fear

“Don’t move”

Can’t break free

All my strength does nothing

“Don’t move”

Trapped between awake and asleep

Paralysis

I am 21 years or older.
