We have gone from 2018 into 2019. The title of everyone's work must be the same ... "Old Year Out/New Year In ... prose or poem, matters not. Write what you feel based on the title. The old year falls away like crimson leaves
Abandoned memories, buried in the sheaves
Fueled by grief the bonfire’s high
With relief we wave goodbye
New sun climbs high over pyres smoke
With hope renewed this morning woke
We face the year with shining eyes
Tell ourselves more soothing lies.
