Write a true micro-poem ... see specific details ... this is a think-piece.
According to Wikipedia, the more recent popularity of "micro-poetry" to describe poems of 140 characters in length or shorter appears to stem from a separate coinage, as a portmanteau of "microblogging" and "poetry". Hence this is the challenge, counting spaces, commas, periods and letters. Write a micro-poem no longer than 140 characters. (This does not include the title). It should not be any longer than 30 words maximum (though I have allowed for two additional words if needed.) but it should fall within the range of no more than 140 characters. It can be on any topic/subject. (I will be counting and spaces count as a character). Don’t forget to tag me in the comment section … @Danceinsilence.

Words Omitted

What if you

Took out I

Would you still be you

Would you even be

Infinite

There is a force

An energy to be reckoned with

Step outside the door

Prepare to be amazed

"I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring."

Get out of the back seat

The picture of her in my mind remains

On the couch

Looking up at me floating in the haze of the ceiling

“I need to go now

"Don’t hate me

“You drew the card

“Don’t hate me

“I need to be free

“Don’t hate me

“I’ll miss you most

“Don’t hate me

“I’ll still sing for you

“Until you hate me

Her head bows to the tray

Her finger on her nostril

And then the nod and plaster

For a year I was lied to

A heart attack they said

Years of abuse they said

Today they come clean

Her last wish was for me

“Don’t hate me” she said

They said

I said

Stop singing to me

don't hate me

Hindsight

I didn't want to take him

He didn’t want to go

How could the world forsake him

I really need to know

The coin is still two sided

It must be turned around

Although often derided

The logic is quite sound

All good things must end

All seasons must change

All strong hearts can mend

Although it may seem strange

I know you had to take him

He didn’t want to go

But the world did not forsake him

If only he could know

Sins of Commission

In the Blood Orange sky

I see the Purple Cow

The Angel Falls I don’t know why

I really don’t know how

Upon the sacred blue Starved Rock

Sits the angel now

At the edge of the dock

Hovers the Purple Cow

The Purple Cow has turned away

The the rock has turned to red

The angel knows not what to say

He knows the one who bled

The Blood Orange sky has changed to black

There is no Purple Cow

Kneeling at the edge of the dock

I see the angel weeps now

The Dream

I was in my crib. The bars were up and I couldn't get out. There were clowns, mean clowns with dark red mouths and black eyes. They had blood tears painted on their faces and skulls on their jumpers. They wore black boots instead of red shoes and their noses while red were mishaped as if the rubber had melted.

One was at the top, pulling the crib and two were at the rear pushing.

Up the spiral staircase of the tower, racing to the top. Higher and higher they went, laughing maniacally and screeching like hyenas.

I could see the moon through my tears but it never seemed to get closer. I could see the bottom of the staircase but it kept getting farther away.

I woke screaming, my brother shaking me.

What really happened on the boat?

Q: Thank you for taking the time.

A: Get to it.

Q: All Right? That night on the boat, did you go to bed before they started fighting?

A: I really dont want to discuss this.

Q: You agreed to this interview. People that want to know.

A: Things were getting heated. It was a little rowdy. There was a bottle broken. I went to bed.

Q: How drunk were you?

A: I was ready to go to bed.

Q: Did you hear them fighting after you went to bed?

A: Yes.

Q: Were they fighting about you?

A: Yes.

Q: Were you in love with her?

A: Everybody was in love with her. The World was in love with her. The only person that wasn't in love with her, was her.

Q: Were you lovers?

A: I won't answer that.

Q: So, you were.

A: I Won't Answer That.

Q: Do you believe his story?

A: Do You believe his story?

Q: No.

A: There you have it.

Q: Do you think he killed her?

A: I don't think he tried to save her.

Q: Did you help cover it up?

A: I answered all questions that I was able to answer.

Q: Do you miss her?

A: Can you really miss someone that is never really gone? Someone that is immortalized on the screen? Someone who will always stay young and beautiful and who will be introduced to countless generations, even after her death?

Yes, I miss her.

I'm done now.
