Not quite invisible                      NO MORE, may you rule

We can see through you              Clearly seen by us

But, the blurry image                 Not invisible

Hides behind a veil                    To the greater good

Of greed                                    Counts more than service

Power                                        Matters less than cash

Of mighty                                 Small child, not big man

Over one's fine need                  Fulfill one fine need

Big man, not small child            Without might

Matters to you, cash                  No power

Counts more than service          No greed

To the greater good                    Remove your thin veil

Not invisible                              Show your true image

Clearly seen, by us                     Let us see real you

You may rule NO MORE!         Invisible, no

Invisible Hands Make Light Work

"Now that we've got that taken care of, let's move to the next item on our agenda- Agricultural Budget." The meeting gets even more boring as the Director of Agriculture drones on about why he needs so many seeds, but she doesn't show it on her face. Were any of the other Directors in the Advisory Board to look directly at her, they would find only impassivity. She's here to be unseen and unheard, and she's very, very good at it. A measly little personal assistant, chosen because she's pretty and the CEO needed something to look at during those long days at the office without his wife. A nobody.

That's just how she likes it. Not even the CEO knows how key she is to the entire company; if he did, he would probably attempt to remember her name. This week, it's Amelia, which is not even close. That's okay, though. If he can't remember her name, he can't look her up in the employee directory.

It's amazing how much you can get away with when the CEO hates looking at the papers you hand him before he signs them. She's had five raises since she started working here two years ago, and she's only been his PA for 3 months. Truly, he doesn't know how much power he hands over. More and more, she's gaining responsibilities that should be his, but that he's happy to shove off on her because she's just a pretty face.

As if. He knows the company's doing better than ever, but he doesn't know why; doesn't know that she's been putting forth the proposals in other's names, doesn't even know that he's signed off on dozens of others of low priority that put together almost double the productivity. Doesn't know how he's somehow come up with the funds to buy a half-dozen companies.

The fool. Doesn't know true power when it's staring him in the face. If he actually took the reins of the company as it is now, used his power and leverage to its full potential, he could be nearly as productive as she currently is behind the scenes. She didn't fully realize the sheer amount of untapped potential when she began to work here, figured she would lay the groundwork and then make the stocks plummet, forcing them to accept her offer to buy the company in order to not grow bankrupt. Corporate espionage, you see. She's the owner and CEO of the most powerful company in the country, and this idiot and his company is the only thing standing in her way of ruling the country.     The guy didn't even recognize her, even though her face is on a billboard right outside his window. She hasn't this much fun in years, since her company has such a strong, well-laid foundation to build upon. She may even stick around for a little while longer than planned, really get a hold on this company before she fakes its impending doom.
