The Human Condition

We laugh sometimes until we cry.

We cry sometimes until we laugh.

We remember simpler times.

We look forward to more complicated times.

We get some things right.

We get some things wrong.

We do good.

We mess up.

We feel important.

We feel insignificant.

We win.

We lose.

We make memories.

We change history.

Being Human

If there is no death, then there is no life.

If there is no patience, there is only strife.

Being human is not easy, nor is it fun.

But even the saddest, can have happiness won.

Humans make mistakes, they always will.

And remember that love, can't be won with a bill.

Let me ask you a question, just one more,

Would you rather be sad and rich, or happy and poor?

To Be Human

To be human is to error.

To be human is to feel pain.

To be human is to feel love.

To be human is so much more.

“Human”

Christina Perri says it best.

"But I'm only human

And I bleed when I fall down

I'm only human

And I crash and I break down

Your words in my head

Knives in my heart

You build me up and then I fall apart

'Cause I'm only human."

Human

To be human means to err in all things mind, body, & soul. To crave the the unthinkable and dream the near impossible.

We strive for perfection but never attain it. We wheel and deal for everything even our priceless souls. For what you might ask? Everything.

We are capable of evil making the devil wish he had the intuition we do to wreak havoc on those who are without. Whatever it might be, sometimes it just to fulfill our imagination.

We are also instruments of heavenly goodness. Making angels; nod in the ingenious idea of God making us.

We are nothing more than choice in the realm of good & evil.

Higher Forms of Thought

Impulse drives all creatures. The impulse to live - to survive. Humans are able to ignore impulse.

Human

Being human means a wide variety of things.

Some people (not I) believe that in being human, we have some sort of God-given superiority over all other creatures on Earth. Some people believe that this God-given right makes it okay for us to abuse the other creatures of the world. Some people believe it gives us the right to destroy the homes of the other creatures for our own benefit.

Others know better than that.

I believe that being human does not mean superiority even though being human is much different than being any other creature in this world. We, unlike other creatures, have significantly more ways to communicate than other creatures—some of which ways leave many out—: we have a wide variety of spoken languages and no one knows them all, we have sign language, we have the written word, we have our smiles and our tears, we have our actions, too.

Humans, also unlike other creatures, have not only the id, but also the ego and the superego (if you are oblivious to what the id ego and superego are, the id is animalistic behavior, the superego is more in relation with faith, and the ego is the normal learned behaviors that are not influenced by faith). Most creatures simply have the id while we have the ego and superego to keep us from senselessly killing other creatures for our own benefit.

Oh wait.

We still do that.

Oh well.

Being Human

Nothing, it means nothing to be human because we are such a tiny portion of Earths history which Earth, its self is just a tiny pale blue dot in vast emptiness called space. What have you done to change history in a whole, you have done nothing, same with every other tiny human on this tiny pale blue dot in the vast emptiness of space. How will you be remembered when the earth dies and crumbles away, you wont neither will anyone else, everything we know and love will be gone with out a trace, there won’t even be stories of the tiny pale blue dot. So think about that the next time you ask that question.
