Monsatanism

Love may be blind

But so is hate -

Hang on one sec while

I elaborate:

"I hate GMO's!"

"Support small farms!"

But the veggies themselves

Don't cause any harms

We've "modified" crops

Since we could breed

We make them hardy

So farms can succeed

Without these additions

Plants often take more

Land, water, the like

Which helps not the poor

Other countries need

Our solutions and seed

Yet the real issue here

Is colonialist greed

For those genes we split

Come with a price

Which we foist on others

(Not so very nice)

While we turn around

And pooh-pooh what we sold

"Organic Only!"

"Locally grown!"

We spent hundreds of years

Grooming countries for debt

To reject their crops now

Seems like just petty theft

And the companies above

Hold their research up high

Can't pay for our seeds?

We'll sue you sky high

As agribusiness buys up

All those farms left to rot

What a sad play to see

Such an un-original plot

Yet another victim

Of Capitalist gains

Yet blame not the plants

But the cash in their strains
