Labyrinth

In you go

Stare at all the snow

Do not weep

Now’s not the time

To act like a mime

Or try to fall asleep

Heavy footsteps advance

Louder than an avalanche

You need to run

This is not a place of fun!

The creature & guard

Will hit you really hard

Watch out for the Minotaur

Not sure if it’s as old as a dinosaur

Hurry now before it’s too late

There’s no moment to waste

Save yourself & later head to Corinth

Any place far away from this labyrinth.

______________________________

Then you figure it out

You start to pout

You are the guardian of the maze

This puts you in a daze

more like a maZe

your fingers dance

through the keys,

where is the one

that leads

to happiness?,

everyone always

talked about the key

to happiness,

where is that one,

the truth is

there’s none.

'cause it takes a maze to get there,

not a door or a gate,

but a whole fricken maze

to happiness,

they say

"key"

but there’s not a key

it’s more like a way,

a whole fricken maze,

then some days you’re close

and then you run against walls

and you’re further than you though

you were,

but damn,

some days

you're not that

far away.

no wait.

retrace your

no sense of

can you

probably

not.

going

except-

which way

is forward?

it's been

hours

maybe

even

days.

every

leads

to

another.

guess there's

only one

way

out-

The Way of the Game

I sat one cloudy evening

Playing my favorite video game

With nothing but a computer

And the soft patter of rain.

A large maze full of monsters

Lay waiting deep inside

And I raised my sword in strong defence

Slashing through their hides.

Ambling through the labyrinth

I was doing fairly well

At the end there were gold riches

And the sound of victory bells.

I stretched my arms towards triumph

Ready for my prize

But everything went solid black

And my computer died.

The Queen of Diamonds

Stuck in a relationship,

There's no way out.

Walls of emotions crowd around,

A Maze of fear and doubt.

Entering in seemed fun and exciting,

A new adventure to explore.

Fun and excitement turns to anger and anguish,

The one I admired, becomes the one I abhor.

Inequality with ease

I now recogize

the walls

which I am in

invisible, yet immovable

which way to go?

left? right? center?

if only

I had a ladder

you too, do not realize

the glass walls

in front of your face,

ancored in their place.

this fun house

does not bring pleasure

unless you have

tools of measure

some have keys:

they unlock many doors

but since you have none,

you stay poor

you ask yourself

how and why

these clandensine corrordors

are of supply

due to society, unimproved,

keepers of the keys

are all-consumed

bringing others to their knees:

inequality with ease

The Moscow airport

had a connection. tried to save some money.

don't save money. not when it sends you to the Moscow airport.

endless hallways, stretching, connecting the terminal sections. you walk around confused. worried that time is ticking. no one guides you, but god. the staff look at you with loathing. food is overpriced and can't be bought with currency. you need to pay the kossacs extra, perhaps. they know my heritage and dream of the better days of sabers and raids. oh the existential pogrom of seeing that the time is neigh, only to see the clock is not ticking.

more contradictory signs, telling you , perhaps the H wing is in the women's room. the entrances guarded by severe stormtroopers. reflecting the frost outside.

the watercoolers shined anticeptically, but the water tasted like lead poisoning.

with luck, or perhaps just as planned, the plane was delayed, and so no worries , we had time to sit by the gate and starve. we found our way, but deep inside we will be forever lost.

Labyrinth

“Look at her” they said,

To misery she was wed,

Her soul half dead,

A maze inside of her head.

Her heart of lead,

Cried not as tears she shed,

Lost in a landscape of red,

On her, despair fed.

Eyes unblinkingly read,

Her fate in the walls which said,

Wander forevermore in your head,

Until you drop dead.

What Moves the Mind

asks the voice inside

because the Will

next door I believe

has my agenda

with options

a, b, A, B...

Do you see?

thru the hedges

the path is skewed

as if it's linear

we can choose

a rhyme

or counterpoint

in time...

necessity

begs us question

Why...?

and turns us

out on a

noose

revealing

openings

these green feet

never knew

for all the fertile

weeds seemed

True

to myself

I plot on

for an aim

not quite

centered

upon...

Faith

Or is it

Fate...?

sends me

like a pinball

rolling up

and down

my sleeves...

For a task

nags and its

master

like a disconnect

must be

complete,

temporarily...
