You’ve been caught

Itʼs not like she meant to.

This voice inside my head.

It was calling me to her.

I felt like we new each other.

I followed her moves.

Watched her carefully, and closely.

Making sure I didnʼt show.

I thought I was sly.

I new she was a cop.

But it didnʼt even cross my mind,

That I would be held at gun point.

The cold barrel,

Against thy skin.

She looks like me.

Same long hair,

Smoky brown eyes.

Exempt I am the one in fear.

Down in my knees not know what to do

I didn't mean no harm!

I just got out of control.

You look like me!

I couldn't stand it any longer

I needed to know who she was

So I followed

And watched

Not look where it got me

With the barrel against my head

She asks why

Why I did it

Why I followed her

I need to tell her

Before I get shot

I told her to look me in the eyes

She told me to take the mask off

I did as told

I hear her gasp

We are the same.

At least we look the same.

Twin, clone, sister, what ever we may be.

We had that connection.

I begged her not to pull the trigger

She said she won't.

Now we're left in thoughts

Of who we are,

Not as separate

But as hole.

Boys Will Be Boys

Boys will be boys

playing with blue toys,

Girls cross your legs

Or else you're teasing and coy.

Can't a girl be herself

if a boy is just a boy?
