Adrift

Life is like floating in a sensory deprivation tank,

Bound by a sense of moral responsibility to others,

To do no harm with a deadly contagion sweeping civilization.

Where my imagination is my only reprieve,

Albeit brief before the wounds of the past begin to reopen.
