Origami
You folded my name
into an origami of lovers,
a taste of invisible sun
on your tongue,
pouring affection
in tango of love,
sensuality in syllables,
butterfly wings
tingling my skin,
touching me
with deep
resonating tones,
curving down
my torso -
lilting, lingering,
speaking to my heart,
saturating my center,
releasing crest of want
as I silently read
my name
on your lips.
You swathed
my name
awakening
spirit of forever
and the world
stopped twirling.
a woman, outstretched arms and yellow dress like daffodils:
leaning slightly backwards, as if the headlights and night quiet
is pushing her back-
and then she falls,
like a god when his name is forgotten,
or like a world
when it no longer belongs to anyone.
she falls
softly and all at once,
the road under her dress
and the world under her head.
shouting something about love
that i don't quite remember.
That day was different
My name
So simple, so common
Nothing is special about it.
The people call it old fashioned
Some says it's so Spanish
Which brings me to hate it.
But that day it was different
Everyone addressed me with my title and surname
It was also the way you address me whenever you talk to me.
No it was always my title that you use
My title or my status
But that day it was different
You spoke to me
You were about three feet or less away from me
Your tone was different that's why I did not bother to listen first
Then you spoke softly
Addressing me not by my first name nor by my title or status
But by my nickname
My name plus your voice combined sent a chill down my back
Sent the butterflies in my stomach to rally
And made my heart beat louder than any drums.
That day was different.

(I have nothing against Spanish/Spaniards)
Amber
She speaks my name yet again
The sound coming from her lips sounds like pure bliss
I wish I could be those lips for a day
Her voice is so enticing
My name holds so much power
For when she speaks it she has control over me
Body and soul
Anna
It's the way you say it
That makes me not to hate
It's the way you whisper it
Like a prayer and answer to your prayer whenever you're next to me
The way my name is called however you do
Is the reason I loved my name.
my Name has power
it means
night
it means
when darkness is a shelter for your soul
it means
a connection
it means
defender of love
it means
unknown and unexplained
it means
me
Title missing, please return if found
Honey, babe, darling, love
pumpkin, munchkin,
my lovely baby pie
all of it gone
never the same
because today
you said my name.
