I was new to this world. I was about 2. My home was very dirty, just the way I liked it. My home was moving. It did that a lot. My home was moving towards a white valley. A huge object loomed over it. Suddenly, a jet of something hot shot down and started drowning me. I couldn't breathe! I was being boiled alive! I was being swept away from my home and landed in the valley. After that, I remember being somewhere dark and smelly. I was barely conscious. The stench of rotting germs who didn't survive. The grimy floor. This was an improvement!
The last thing I wanted to tell you
The last thing I wanted to tell you,
you suspected it the whole time,
the last thing I wanted to tell you
It was all my fault
I have never dealt with this, but here is my advice:
The world has a purpose and you are part of it. Don't let all the horrible things make you forget about the good. I bet there is more good than you know. If you keep on pushing, in the end, you will not regret it. Things may get better, and if not, you didn't give up. Tell your parents. Most people who have this problem think the same way and it gets worse. You're there child. Not a burden. Trust me.
Just tell them.
I suggest you make a list of all the good things everyday and tell your parents.
I just died, but I'm staying on Earth because of an unfinished business. What is it? Well, I have to finish creating a business. Not what you expected? People don't turn bad when they die you know. They stay the same as when they were alive.
I got a letter from my "future self". I didn't believe it, but I opened the letter. It said, "You will die." Cool. I'll make sure to remember that.
(The challenge sounds like what Gandalf says in Lord of the Rings.) Bad times will pass. They will come again, but they will pass again.
you can’t be in the band,
but don’t be mad,
you’ll get better,
accept this letter
Two military men arrived at her door with an American flag and a stained letter.
I did not listen to the song.
The car sped along the highway, guarded by several transport cars. It was headed for the biggest mansion in the city. The transport cars were filled with guards and cash. The drivers had bullet-proof vests and pistols in holsters on their hips. Daggers were hidden in a pouch on the belt with the holsters. The other guards had SMGs and shotguns. It was about 3 miles to the mansion. A transport driver in the front saw a C4. “Hey! Stop! C4!” The front car halted, but the other cars were late to stop and they bumped into each other. None of the cars were seriously damaged, but it would take a long time to get them facing the right way and in formation. They knew that there was an ambush, so they had no time. They got out of the cars just as the C4 blew up and a molotov cocktail flew over the highway railing. The guards looked up and stopped, but then ducked for cover. The Molotov hit a transport car and sent the money into flames. As the car exploded, several masked figures jumped over the railing and started shooting. The guards, surprised, were mowed down and more figures jumped over the railing. This was a well-planned attack. The guards shot back, but they were disorganized and had little cover because of the molotovs. The figures shot the remaining guards and threw molotovs at the transport cars. On the last transport car, they ransacked it before they burned it. The only car left was the one the other cars were guarding. The figures looked inside. One turned and called angrily to another figure. The other one nodded and raised a sniper. He looked through the scope. He shook his head. Other figures searched the car thoroughly and burned it. They needed that information.
The chopper hovered over a small spot in the clearing. It lowered enough for some armed men to come out, and then it pulled away. Some of the men searched the clearing while others guarded the perimeter. After thirty minutes, they moved further Northeast. At one point, one of them in front held his hand up in a fist in a way that signaled the others to stop. He searched the ground carefully. He got up, pointed North, and they readjusted their course. They were stopped once more on their course. A man at the end had spotted something. He stooped down to pick it up. The others were watching intently. Until the man crumpled and gunfire burst out.
Three terrorists had taken another trail and found the information they needed. And gave it to the United States government.
I was walking down a road in Texas when I saw a shimmer. What was it? Maybe it’s gas. I walked towards it and put my hand up. I wasn’t tall enough so I stood on my toes. The shimmer dashed away. I watched, dumfounded. And then I started running after it. When it stopped, I thought I saw a face, but it dashed away before I could really see it. I didn’t run after it this time. It went way too fast. But that face, I knew that face. It was...!
PART 1: Upload
“The computer is uploading it right now. We don’t know how long it will take..., or if it will work,” the scientist said worriedly. The computer lit up and informed them that the upload was at 1%. The patient looked nervously at the computer, but knew that this was his only option. The patient was getting worse and worse and only had one day out of the hospital. He wanted to live and this was the closest thing to it. The next day the upload completed. “Upload...complete...checking for...errors,” the computer started its second process. A third of the way through, the computer started going haywire. The scientist struggled to help the patient out of the chair and away from the computer. The scientist sighed. Another person he couldn’t help. The patient went back to the hospital. 3 months later the patient died from cancer.
But that face, I knew that face. It was my boss! That wasn’t possible! My boss died two years ago. Well, flying shimmers with faces are impossible, too. I must be hallucinating. When I got home, I searched the web for my boss. An article showed a lot about his life, but I checked the section titled “Death”. This is what it read: “Died from cancer August 27, 2017. Died in Newberry hospital in Houston, Texas. Learned of cancer at 37. Died 42. Buried in Houston...” The article continued, but nothing remotely new to me popped up. I searched lots of articles, but I couldn’t find anything else. I gave up and went to bed. The next day I tried again and finally found something. An article about an invention created before my boss died. I looked through it and wondered if it was possible. Did my boss upload his consciousness to a computer?!
Part 3: Gone Wrong
"Number 1: Status: Failed
Number 2: Status: Failed
Number 3: Status: Failed
Number 4: Status: Failed
Number 6: Status: "
The rest of the document was smudged out. I got the document by contacting someone who made an article I read about an invention. He sent me this.
All I could think of as I got in bed was... what happened to number five?
