with a dash of salt~
write a poem with ONLY TWO SENTENCES~ Good Luck my little hellhhounds~

What is a sentence really?

You think a sentence can't be as long

as I demand it must be,

as it always has been

since humans began speaking

in a time before written

constraints

like punctuation and where to place

a comma

when you want to eat (with)

your grandma.

As I see it poetry dawned

with the first sun

and won't end until

there is no more need to speak freely,

or see the potential in your neighbors eye

for when he looks, he is looking with

do and no try

but the only reason you know why

is that you heard his screwed up speech

which was full of unbearable run-ons with more twists and turns than fatal attraction I mean my god would he not stop talking how you wished he would move on more quickly than he did but even through

all the smoke,

you saw

when he spoke.

Life as I know it

...At once, I'm awake.

The world is so bright and big

Mother holds my hand

I can't stop talking.

Speaking excellently, I

hold my head up high

Met a guy I liked

Fell in love a bunch of times

Got my degree! Whee!

Sad days didn't slip

by like ships in the calm night

They took all they could.

But happiness is.

And the rest goes down as it

always does: anew...

Dearest

Pushing the limit

of what I can create

in a blank state

Blanket statements

litter the streets that connect

your brain to your spine

Funny how all of the sudden

It's coming out in threes

it's usually longer when it doesn't have to be

A rhythm so innate

It had to be studied

Still losing sight of the great things in life

Roll up a leaf

Soak in the trees

Feel the natural beauty

A manifesto

A dedication wholly

an unnecessary tether

A free mind

thinks and bends

sways to those rhythms in your head

Likes to intertwine

with that golden soul

you're storing so far away

Where did you go

You left to find yourself

I'll be holding in a hug

New perspective shattering news

old retrospective songs never lose

fall back into what you know

Comfortable discomfort

a privileged dissonance

drowned out by the roots, rocks, and beats

You need to escape

Spend less time trapped upstairs

lift your mind and spirit free

Be happy

Though life is too bitter to bear

Find something too good not to share

Walk through me

Let go of the physical

Watch the universe be

Not so deep down

I'm ever afraid to lose you

To watch you walk away

Still I won't pray

Still I won't stray

Still I feel gray

How do you exactly perceive loneliness?
Write any type of writing (poems, short story, statements, etc) about how you feel about loneliness. How would you exactly describe this feeling of loneliness in your own words? Is it sickening? Punishing? Comforting? Is it exactly the same as being physically alone?

Condition of Humanity

Alone

Lone

One

One is a winner

One is an empowered human

standing big and tall and at peace

with oneself

proud, self-fulfilled, one

Lone is romantic

A wolf or a ranger

intentional and as beautiful

as it is blue

Alone is without

Something is missing,

you are not whole

You are sad and, tired and, cold and

Alone

Lone

One

Lonely is where the three meet

In the waves of green waters deep

You are a romantic winner without

something you cannot place

The same feeling every

soul who tread these floods

felt before you dipped your toe

into the vast world of nothingness.

longing for that emptiness

because we are too full of something worth even less

a misery that penetrates the eyes

once they're open wide

A sorrow every man has borrowed

yet still we feel lonely in this feeling

of dejection

for everyone else has just accepted this

a lonely so inherent

it will forever be inherited

Every generation knows

this dread is what loneliness is.

Rush

If you choose not to decide

You still have made a choice

And the rocks continue the landslide

even after there's no more noise

Standing alone atop a tower of indecision

Creates a shroud you can't stop spinnin'

Its cover recalls the youthful warmth

Better than standing where cold light is dimmin'

But if you choose not to decide

You still have made a choice

Near the end of the rope of time

Right or wrong, the world rejoice

For those things inevitable

Always come true

And what cannot be stopped

Will always happen

And in a way beyond my grasp

There's a bit of comfort in that

Without Me

I never felt so far

as I did last night

I was up there high

and you were jumping down

without me

my heart crumbled

cascading fragments

littered the night sky

I didn't even have myself

I never felt so far

Help solve one pf philosophy's greatest questions: what happened to suspenders?
in just a few decades, suspenders, which were once a prevelent item of men's attire , all but disappeared from commonday use. what happened and why?

capitalism

I fully agree that suspenders should make a comeback. However, I do understand why they left. Think practically. Suspenders are waaay less convenient than belts and in the modern world, you need every second you can get to MAKE MORE MONEY. The hassle of choosing a suspender that will match your tie, putting on said suspender, and reattaching them every time you use the bathroom takes at least 4.3 seconds from your money-making grind.

All that being said the answer to the lack of suspenders is belt loops. Remove them and force everyone to suspend their slacks

roses vs thorns
hey, hey.... so I was wondering why movies based on toxic relationships seems romantic to us. is it because we enjoy the thought of having fights and making up or are we drawn to it because these movies actually exposes what a real relationship is. what are your thoughts on. write in any form. be it poetry, prose, life experience. just have fun with it

I Put a Spell on You

When you love someone, the things that hurt, hurt so bad. We all know what it's like to love someone who isn't good for you. But loving someone without boundaries allows them to hurt you without consequences. It has a lot to do with how much you love yourself, too. We're not really attracted to the toxicity, but the intoxicating feeling of loving and being loved.

Tracing the unconscious
I rarely had a dream now. If I had one, it would usually be mysteriously chaotic and nerve-wrecking, though I'll forget it afterwards. When was the last time you had one? Can you still remember it? How was it? What did you dream about?

Sinking Ship (I love the ocean btw)

Last night I literally dreamt I was on a sinking ship.

After nearly missing the bus to make it to a doctor's appointment (I was feeling sick, a sore throat or something), I found myself aboard a cruise ship-sized boat. Suddenly it starts storming, a torrential downpour. The cabins start flooding to the point where if people didn't get out immediately, they would drown. I witnessed two people trying to get out but drowning before they had the chance. My dad told me we were on a part of the ship that wouldn't flood and would be safe from the storm. Naturally, I was still terrified.

Next, we started watching a challenge-based show akin to Squid Game where if you don't successfully complete the challenges you would die. Except, it was a fast timer with a maze of rooms to go through and organize. It was simple organization, putting the same color balls in their proper bins and such but it seemed to have some inexplicable rules. Then we were in the show. Everyone acted like it was normal. Naturally, I was terrified. And there was no prize either. It was just stress or death.

I should mention I had another dream the other night where everyone I'd ever cared about even a little was on a slightly smaller boat. It was the worst storm I'd ever seen and the waves were so rough. I seemed to always be ten steps behind my boyfriend, who I was trying to make sure was okay. That dream was more pleasant though because we all took shelter and started playing games underneath the canopy.

Feel free to interpret :)
