I’m amused with myself

I can't cry when i fall down and get injured.

I can't cry when I pick myself up I cycle back home with an open wound on my knee.

I can't cry when water hits the raw skin even if it stings like heck.

I can't cry when my best friends betray me or leave me.

BUT I CRY WHILE WATCHING A CLICHÉ EMOTIONAL ROM COM.

like legit, cry and cry until my eyes are puffy and red and i use up all the tissues

WHAT EVEN?

River of Me

If there is beauty, there is the opposite

we have all stood where it’s dark

choosing whether or not to burn a candle

that gladly sheds light......

on the exact thing that tries to ruin us

I lit my candle, to look at my storm closely

I have always known that a river will tell

your reflection will spill on everything

it guides you to where you will overcome

sometimes, the river will carry it away

never thought it would pull me from myself but when it did, I fought...

for both my flesh, and spirit

I started chasing.....

but I couldn’t do it forever

so I drank the water

I devoured myself

I am now the river

a river of me....

threads to my Fabric

**//**

Like butterscotch-

roofed over cascatta paste,

I savour the flavor of the swift dawn

with my naked sleepy eyes,

witnessing a scenery painted

in an amber summoned taste.

Drifting slowly from the golden shimmer,

theft by the entrails of the peach stolen mist;

the clouds gliding like the foam over sea,

Visible for f e w s e c o n d s,

But the next moment melanised in a flee.

Under midline spectrum

of the noon’s bask,

peek the hanging glittery lamps

atop the gravity stricken cliffs

shadowing the marshes breathing

in the chemistry of its flask.

As the day moulds,

lifting from scented lavenders

towards the aroma of full moon’s tide.

Wishing the farewell -

to the tamed carpets

and greeting our canopies

while a lazy grin slides.

A drizzle of hopeful light

cascading afar the long forgotten oceanic dye.

Magical to live when living is dignified

In submission to the Lord;

For heaven awaits, a sanctuary unknown

but the heaven of my everlasting abode.
