Vicious Cycle

It is a vicious cycle,

Between wanting the Restraint to dissolve,

And restraining the Want,

Between building to yet again destroying the Resolve.

It is a strange irony,

One that I would love to discern,

With Constraint yearning,

To curb the Yearn.

It is a long struggle,

Where Craving and Control fight for the reign,

while we don't realize that in the inevitable end,

It will all be in vain.

Tell me of a personal principal which you learned from childhood and still carry with you today. This principal has to be one of good intention, which you stand strongly behind. It cannot be something that your parents or anyone told you, but of something you grasped by watching and or being around at a young age. An unspoken rule to you which has always been behind your foundation even to this day now.. Write in any form that appeals to you.

The truth about truth

Just when our eyes get accustomed to see in the dark that we have been kept in,

Truth comes forth with a bright torch, blinding all our built up faith into oblivion.

Even though there are blankets of lies around our form,

they make us feel safe and keep us warm,

Truth rips them all apart, leaving us bare,

And thus, truth seems really unfair.

So even though Truth is simple and plain,

And more often than not, only causes pain,

It is something that a lie can never be for sure,

It is powerful, complete and pure.

The angles of love

Though I tried to stay rooted on the intersecting point,

It was just not meant to be,

For we were a pair of non-parallel lines,

Intersecting once,

Only to be forced to forge different paths ahead.

Somewhere between,

Learning to treat her ugly wounds

As battle scars,

Turning her bubbling hope

Into boundless faith,

Convincing herself that she would make it,

To actually making it;

With her Pride intact,

Her Lifetime passed.

Grudge

Jet black mop turns into silvery white,

But old age does not affect pride.

It finally crumbles,

When I hear of your sad demise.
