July 2024 Drabble Challenge: In Dependence
Using prose and exactly 100 words, tell me a story about a dependency. Interpret how you will, but please use standard punctuation, spacing, grammar, and spelling. Winner gets a little prize; I will read all entries and choose a victor in August. There is no need to tag me. Let's see some creativity!

Sweet

Sweet.

Sweet Silence.

Sweet Silence Swimming in my brain.

A waterfall of nothing. Nothing is good.

Nothing is better than anything.

Sweet.

Sweet Silence.

Sweet Silence Swimming in my brain.

Blind. Docile. Neurotic. Elation.

Was there a time where I would rather feel deeply than be numb?

No.

No.

Sweet Silence.

Sweet.

Something Stops inside me.

Click, clack.

The waterfall is gone.

Damn

Silence So Sweet come back to me.

Come back.

Is feeling secondary now to constant mediocrity?

Do I not have a right to the pursuit of happiness?

No.

Silence is not Sweet.

Love is Sweet.

Sweet Love.
