Darkening for the Light

Cloth of Individuality

Turned White for Wholeness

Holding captive the brain's thoughts

To get along with the mindless

Silent tears

From a representation of Purity

Loud but hollow chants

From lips that lack empathy

A dark deed ready to be committed

For an unknown omniscient being

A clean blade set to slice life away

Of one who's now not a person but a thing

I too join in on the words

Darken my soul to match those around

In hope that the one whose cries are ignored

Will still have a voice years from now
