Lessons never meant to be taught

She was his first, he's favourite and he showed it proudly. The way he showed pride in his first car.

Up until he replaced her with another. Oblivious, the fact that he was teaching her from a young age

that it was fine for her to be

treated like an option, and not a priority.

Like a ragged, old doll that could be replaced when a new one arrived.

Up until she found a man that did

all this, and her father could not stand to understand her logic...

The same logic he had planted in her developing mind.
