Baptism

Life's journey has been a struggle, blocked by a dam Embracing only circles without a plan

Jesus is my savior, who holds my hand

God never forsakes, helping me stand

His word speaks to me, like whispers from the wind

Although I've carried burdens, now I begin

Why do I feel anguish and sorrow?

When I repent and kneel before the morrow

The Heaven's gates open and the sun beams down

Jesus' love and grace lifts me off the ground

God's word cleanses me, like a stream that flows so pure

Purging my heart, my faith will forever endure

I was once a non-believer, belligerent to God's word

Until I became devout and my vision was blurred

God then opened my eyes, His truth became clear

I know my savior is always near

Like a river flowing, I am headed for home

God's grace has given me a place to roam

Christ was baptized in the Jordan River

And so his spirit I will forever deliver

My sins of the past have disappeared

The light shining bright, my destiny is here

Thank you God for all your blessings

For this I know, my faith is progressing

In the water, I feel something divine

Amazing grace soothes my mind

God's love is always flowing

Saving me from sins overthrowing

My baptism symbolizes my faith

I am a beacon of hope and grace

Guided by the Holy Spirit's plan

My spiritual power protecting me from sin's quicksand.
