Sprouting Rainbows

I watched blue fade to grey

Hair blown by the wind,

Skin turned ice cold

Fear took flight,

As the skies tore, peace fell down

For I may not how to let go

Of grudge, pain and lies

The sky can only wrench my grip

Off it all, through change

Drops merged to morph dirt

Washed the dread, gave birth

Hope bloomed fresh,

From the only mud I knew

To be true.
