Vision from Above

My Dad extended his hand to me

From a position above my head

I struggled to grasp his hand

pull him back to earth with me

“I love you, Dad. I love you!” I cried

“I couldn’t say goodbye before you died.”

“I know! I know!” his gentle voice proclaimed

“Don’t worry. I’m fine and I love you too!”

I felt so much better after talking to him.

If anyone says it was an apparition,

I’d have to swear they were wrong.

I am sure my Dad was there with me

His kindness cushioned me in love

enveloping my aura in tenderness.
