Unreality

As a low hum wakes you slowly from a comfortable sleep you are surprised to hear an unfamiliar voice tell you, "You made it."

You realize quickly that you're not ready, yet they continue to drone an explanation while the low hum devolves into a deeper more reverberating bass tone drowning any recognizable sensory inputs into noise still somehow not enough to drown out the distinct feeling of the hopeless desire to say goodbye, here alone your last feeling before the transition is a stream of warm tears.
