lurking within

a dark presence seeps out of the body with every step, every action and every event. an inconvenience changes the direction of the darkness. the foot sinks into the ground, engulfed by the darkness. a hole shapes with no way out. the hands scrape violently at the sunken walls, attempting to break free. chains slither all around the body, tightening at the neck. though the body moves freely, it's stuck. only the brain knows about the darkness lurking within.
