Spring Awakening

In the depth of winter

Each footstep

Into the

Dark

Sticky

Mud

In the

Cold

Drizzle

Would drag

Me

Down.

An emerging bud

Primrose blossom

Magpies nest building

Warming sun

Each sign of Spring

Lifts me up

With Spring awakening.
