Do you have a favorite post that didn't get as much attention as it deserved?
Repost an old post that you wrote and thought was exceptionally good, but didn't get a lot of views before it was buried in your feed. Please no innuendo or swearing. Can be poetry or prose. Please tag me in the comments so I can see your awesome work!

Dear Death

As much as you are an unknown human, your name seems to be getting around pretty well during this period. For goodness sake, you do not even have to break a sweat making a name for yourself, you are just a natural at it, meanwhile some of us work our asses hard for that. But even with all that popularity and all, no one loves you. At the mention of your name, moods change. That must suck, right?

Is that what upsets you Death? So, you act under the influence of being abandoned or from being seen as negative? I mean you and your buddy, Love, seemed to have been really close, because you know the saying “love each other till death do us apart”, but I guess you kept stealing her clients. Ooppss!

Sometimes, I think you are misunderstood, cause humans try to avoid you, but you are social and it is not your fault that your job is not fun loving to be exact, I mean you showing up to people’s door steps as an uncalled for uber driver to surprise them in whatever manner your creative minds tells you to do lol and who knows the number of trips you make in a day, phew, must be tiresome!

Anyways Death, I am writing this letter to you to tell you keep being you because even if I say otherwise, you can not do anything about it, you can not change who you are, even if billions of wishing stars passed by, sorry about that.

Pass some hugs and kisses to Love for me when next you do see her, tell her I think she is awesome. Also tell Cupid that I still await the grand visit from my supposed significant other.

See you soon (like not anytime soon “soon” but a very far future “soon”).

Your inevitable client,

Bluechameleon
