One Lost, A Thousand Gained

I open that old, wooden door, only four years old,

But all I find is cracked glass and a shattered heart

Through other's eyes I see you

The past seen through a honey's sheen

Through other's eyes I see you

Harsh marks and purple scars

Through other's eyes I see you

Time doesn't heal my wounds but makes them deeper

Through blue bruises dug through broken memories

Sharp shovel in hand and a face of stone

Through my bloody mouth and my broken heart

Through my own eyes, I can see you

You say, "Hello" before you disappear again

I say, "Good riddance" as I walk away once again.

Shutting that old, wooden door, already four years old, forever.
