Cut
As the blood dropped
Bouncing in red bursts
Colliding in sweet metallic taste
Ripples of pain from a busted life
Upper lip dripping circles down the drain
Giving meaning to white ceramic tile
The length of my life swirling
Memories flashing of heart ache
Tangled knees growing weak
I steady myself with a strong grip
Look up into the mirror
Seeing myself for the first time in years
My brown eyes dilated and fading
Reappear suddenly with a force
that kills the numb
Turning a solid state of blue
