Why do you feel worthless?

Why do you say you don’t deserve to live anymore?

Why haven’t you found a soulmate?

Don’t tell me you’re not beautiful ,

And who told you your face is your beauty?

Why allow lies to walk over you, bruising and flattening your being?

Whilst the carrier of these lies watches on

With her deceptive glasses.

Oh! Oh! Mirror on the wall,

Why have you decided to kill the joy of this young woman?

Your heartlessness has coerced her into looking different ,

Scaring her suitors away .

I’m unable to recognize her anymore

Even though I haven’t left her presence in half a dozen years.
