Where does “love” come from?

They Say

You will find love someday.

They say.

But how do I know that’s true?

They do.

How do I find it then?

I begin.

Love’s not how but where.

They share.

Then tell me where.

They stare.

Love is in nature where man walks on earth.

The flowers that bloom

give the love to the bees

who travel around

and give it to trees.

The trees send it off

in the breeze through the leaves.

The birds high above

take it up like a dove

to place in their nest

and keep it their best.

While the rest of the love

is breathed by creatures below,

the poor fish in the sea

get the left overs for free.

And we,

we get it from all the above,

the flowers that bloom

and the bees and the trees,

the bird in the sky

and the creatures who do not fly,

and the fish down below

spare the little they can,

to give us the love that we don’t understand.

That is where you will find love someday.

They say.

And I know they are right.
