"Do Authors Cry When They Kill Their Best Character Or Do They Smile, Laugh And Have A Cup Of Tea With Satan?"
I read this a while ago and instantly decided on the latter but then I imagined the death of one of my character's grandfather and started tearing up which is weird since I'm always happy when writing a death scene. Now I want to know what you guys think.

I cannot say that I have ever cried after killing off even the most beloved of my characters in the most brutal ways. (If characters in literature are sentient, I have so much blood on my hands).

I understand, I've killed a lot of my characters or at least imagined their deaths and never felt a thing. But for some reason I had an emotional attachment to a character's grandpa.

@Nkiruka I know what you mean. In movies, I typically feel bad when an extra dies an undeserving death but never when it happens to a main character.
I am 21 years or older.
