Old poem turned new

Our thoughts are so different,

and yet the same doomed decision we reached

we are both poles apart,

So different in both our minds and our hearts

our paths are different,

And yet we tended to meet

but not because it was fate or whatever

it was more of a combination of chance and error

we aren’t puppets in the hands of destiny,

partners of all sorrrows, all festivity

We were not there for each other at all times,

Not partners in any kindness or any crimes

And yet we got together after each fight

and it’s not as if I didn’t wonder about the wrong and right

but enchanted by what might have been

we lost sight of what we had already seen

Two different people, so different in their ways

can never live happily always

and though we put in hardwork and some say it pays

but that doesn’t happen always

One has to suffer and one has to compromise

but why live like that when we do realise

that life is nothing short of a prize?

I know we can keep trying till we run out of time

but let’s just not be unwise

let’s cut all ties

and continues to rise

in our own seperate lives.
