Brave
Her heart was like the surface of the moon.
Scarred from disappointment,
cratered and dented from unworthy suitors,
unlawfully impacted by false friends.
Yet, she stands with her head held high
defying the odds,
with fire in her veins and courage dripping
from her fingertips.
