CHANGED

Somewhere along our winding route

so gradually you changed.

It was as if you decided to jump out

and no part of you remained.

Searching on the darkened street;

the lights had all gone dim.

I thought that I had found you,

But I found the you that wasn't him

Not the man I knew before.

The car was playing a different song,

And when I looked again,

you were gone.

I really loved the lines, "Not the man I knew before. The car was playing a different song."

Sometimes you don't even notice the change immediately. I liked the wording on this post.
