a silvered, sharpened blade.

Bathing in your Holy Waters…

your gaul - wormwood,

an absinthe kiss upon my lips.

Ripening the forbidden fruit…

your shadows - myths,

a gorgeous denigration under your hand.

Consuming, sacred knowledge…

an apple I became - your consort, not your confidante - devoured in your palm.

And you danced upon my tongue like Christ…

your apple laced with cyanide,

spilt the Serpent's seeds.
