Balance the “Never Agains”
Never again will I be nervous when I meet the boss, administrator or corporate heads.
They are people who want to know my thoughts or I would not have met them.
Never again will I be camera shy or afraid of the microphone in public. People must want to know what I have to say (or sing.)
Never again will I allow myself unnecessary debt.
Never again will I think I'm a 'little guy' not worthy of having a big brain.
Never again am I afraid to speak what everyone is thinking.
Never again will I interject or interrupt other's speech. I will be a listener and hold the floor when I do speak.
Never again will I bite into a jalapeno pepper.
Never again will a rich man try to use me based on his wealth and celebrity.
Never again will I take on a leech of a man.
Never again will I judge others, I will see the creation of them.
And sadly, never again will some wonderful relationships return.
I said these words to myself believing them as I sat in the park realizing that all these "never agains" were true. There is a long list of "I'd like to do it agains" to balance the "never agains!"
