Poetic Licence to Kill
Recent entries and comments sparked me again to sabotage my own poetry. So the challenge is to part write something poetic, but at appropriate times destroy its rhythm or rhyme. I found this challenging (it probably shows ha ha!) but it's a really good mental exercise to deliberately take yourself out of the flow!

What For

She said

“Darling, I love you.

Yet I don’t know what for.”

I said

“Angel, I love you.

Yet I don’t know what for.”

She said

“Darling, you’re hurting me.

Yet I don't know... what for?

You’ve broken

My heart

In two.”

I said

“Angel, I have.

Yet don’t know what for.”
