I didn’t mean to leave you waiting
I didn’t mean to leave you behind
I swear I tried to make it
But I was a victim of time
I felt so sad when I saw you there
Staring at the clock
I tried to break through fear’s barrier
But couldn’t get past its invisible block
And when my arrival time had come and passed
I was still no closer than I was before
I knew that you had probably gone
